Do I need any experience?

Never. Every session is built for beginners, with expert tutors guiding you the whole way.

You are welcome to bring your own drinks: cans only, maximum two per person. Food and nibbles are not permitted in the making studio.

When can I collect my pieces?

Your finished pottery is ready in around 3-4 weeks, with a further 30 days to collect. Book a collection slot online. We do not send reminders, so note your date.

Is the studio accessible?

Yes, the studio is wheelchair accessible. Contact us in advance so we can arrange any assistance you need.

About this experience

Wheel and hand building in one session

Welcome to our Studio 221 Pottery Wheel Fun-damentals & Building Class. Spend one hour at the potter's wheel and one hour hand building, guided by our friendly, experienced tutor.

Expect to create two to four pieces. It is a blast for beginners, in a group of up to eight fellow pottery enthusiasts.

What's included

Instruction by a professional potter
2 hours of guided learning and making
Two pieces made by you: one thrown on the wheel, one hand-built

Enjoy the making experience for £45, or add kiln firing for £5 so you can keep your pieces. Pick them up in 2-3 weeks; we keep them for another 30 days. Decorating and glazing is available as a separate session.

No prior experience needed. Perfect for beginners.
